I'm not on the box at the moment, but I can tell you that thinkpad_acpi
IS loaded, because all hotkeys work. They don't work if the module isn't
loaded, such as when before I had to manually load it after recompiling
thinkpad_acpi as a module (I wanted to try out experimental=1)
Brightness hotkeys work as well, after thinkpad_acpi was loaded. But the applet doesn't work, and there's no gnome osd.
Volume works, though, OSD and all. Which is what puzzles me.
