Care to try one more test?  Take a look at the following link:
http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/#issues .  The error messages you are
witnessing with the newer Hardy kernel are almost exactly the same as
what's documented there.  Can you try the workaround mentioned there and
verify if it helps?  Thanks.
