As a freeze exception candidate, this is fine; the kernel team have
reasonable autonomy to add drivers to enable hardware that would
otherwise be unsupported by Ubuntu.  But that doesn't mean anyone has
volunteered to do the work to get this into hardy.  Freeze exception
requests should come from developers who are willing to do the work.
