My laptop has Intel chipset: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family)
I don't have this bug on my laptop.
My (quite old) desktop has a Via USB 1.1 on-board controller and one ALi
USB 1.1/2.0 PCI controller.
I have this bug on my desktop.
Also, as told many times, this bug is not exclusive to ubuntu, it is a
kernel issue.
