[Bug 246067] Re: Kernel panic during boot in VirtualBox with kernel 2.6.26.3-generic

I tried alpha4 desktop iso and I was able to boot and run from the iso
after enabling the VT-x/AMD-V option. It ran and installed fine, but I
get kernel panic trying to boot the new install.

I always trial new releases in a virtual machine so this is a little
disappointing. I may have to burn a cd and try it on a real pc. I want
to see how well the new X works.
