I went back to the 2.6.22 kernel and ndiswrapper 1.51 worked just like
it always did.  With the 2.6.24 kernel after rmmodding ssb and b43legacy
ndiswrapper would take back over the card and I could see the available
networks, but WPA kept popping up and asking for my password.  dmesg
said that authentication was timing out.  So for now I am booting only
the 2.6.22.
