I had the same problem with Kubuntu Feisty 7.04 and Nvidia GeForce 7300
LE, my computer never shut down correctly or restarted: I alwayg got the
"Deactivating swap" message and then never happened. I have solved the
problem restarting X-Server from the login screeen. If I restart
X-Server before shutdown all works perfectly.
