source-2.6.20/+bug/74672 That is the bug that prevented me to connect.
When I manually perform:

iwconfig wlan0 essid <my essid>Z
iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed
iwconfig wlan0 key restriced  <some hex key>
iwconfig
dhclient wlan0

...it works.  Add an extra letter to your essid  (Here I use "Z") and
you might connect.
