First of all, I have to warn you that I'm still a novice in Linux world. 
I have 64-bit PC, but all my apps (including Kubuntu) are running 32-bits. After I clean-installed Kubuntu, first application that I installed was Automatix2 (32-bit). From there, I chose all the software, including NVIDIA drivers (I do have NVIDIA GTO 7900 card). Afterwards, my reboots did not work! 
Only by uninstalling NVIDIA drivers from Automatix2, did my issued subsided. 
p.s. I did notice that Kubuntu came preinstalled with NVIDIA drivers just now.
