Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-generic
I am using Sony TX2 with Pentium ULV 1,2.
This happens without running any special task. The problem is that processor runs always with the highest clock, the fan is very loud and applications react slowly. This could be easily fixed through installing linux-386 and using the non smp kernel instead but you have to find out and the live CD and installation process always runs with the generic so installation takes much longer and people gets a wrong experience about the speed of Linux.
It happens since the generic kernel was integrated in Ubuntu. I guess it has something to do with the smp component.
