[Bug 51020] System freeze when install Ubuntu Server 6.06

Public bug reported:

I try to install Ubuntu Server 6.06 LTS on an Old Ibm Machine, but the
system freeze befote the boot menu.

After SCSI CD-ROM boot the system freeze before the boot menu
I can only see  this line:
"ISOLINUX 3.11 Debian-2006-03-16 Copyright (C) 1994-2005 H. Peter Anvin
With a blinking cursor, but no response from keyboard 

Ibm Pc Server 315 (this system works well with ubuntu server 5.10)
- 200 Mhz processor 
- 128 Mb ram

• A 100/10 Mbps Etherjet PCI adapter is standard on the models 8639-PSV and
