[Bug 56144] Ubuntu thinks my powermac got cooling pumps and overheats

Public bug reported:

I've got a 2 GHz dual-cpu powermac, that ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS thinks got
liquid cooling pumps, and therefore often crashes because of over-
heating. When the  therm_pm72 kernel module is loaded, it reports:
