Public bug reported:

When I turn on my computer and boot into ubuntu with anything firewire connected to the computer it gives me the following output's
"cs: 10 port probe 0xa00xaff:clean
ieee1394 sbp2: aborting sbp2 command
0:0:0:0:
command Inquiry 12 00 00 00 24 00
ieee1394 sbp2: reset request" etc. ending with some line about
"ieee1394 failed (-19)"
(abbreviated)
After posting this hardware issue on ubuntu forums, http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=218990 and researching other firewire threads I have reason to believe that this issue is not my firewire ports or external hardware but rather an issue with Ubuntu itself when it comes to handling firewire devices which seems to be effecting multiple users. I did not have this problem with breezy 5.10 and I hope this issue can be resolved. Thanks
