Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-generic
I had always problems with my philips video webcam, and I though it was a big problem, I realised it is a issue of rights...
When the pwc module is loading, it is creating the device /dev/video0 with grp "video" which is not present by default on ubuntu feisty !
I'm not sure what is the best way to correct this for the next releases,
add the group or change the module to create the device with grp plugdev
or audio... ?
I hope this will help to fix the problem in the next updates...
** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
