[Bug 47006] Black screen after "start or install ubuntu" on dapper ReleaseCandidate

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

i  have an amd athlon64 3400+ with an ATI Radeon 9600 and when i
"start or install ubuntu" on first boot, after system load settings and
mount drives appears a black screen and don't start ubuntu.
