The simplest workaround that comes to mind, would be installing kernel
image from Edgy. It works for me, but it is not clean (and might cause
security upgrade problems in the production environment). Besides Dapper
is supposed to be certified to work with Sun machines. One starts to
wonder about quality of the certification process...
