Hi, same problem on Edgy with P IV 3.2, Asus P5GDC-Deluxe 1GB DDR2 and GeForce 6600.
The uBo solution works for me, just unloading the module snd_hda_intel the system shutdown perfectly.

So, the question is, how can i unload it automatically at shutdown??
There's any provisional solution or a patch??
