I suffer from the same problem.

ndiswrapper -l reports:
Installed ndis drivers:
net8180 driver present, hardware present

Still, I get "Invalid argument" when performing "modprobe ndiswrapper".

Using ndiswrapper-common 1.18-1ubuntu2 and ndiswrapper-utilities 1.1-5.
