[Bug 61342] Backport Intel 965 Express chipset support from 2.6.18

This thread on Kerneltrap seems kind of concerning to me. The second
reply lists a set of changesets required for the 965Express chipset to
work with Linux, all of which come from Linus's 2.6 git repository.

I've searched our Ubuntu git repositories, and it doesn't seem like we
have all of thse patches. We seem to have some of them, like the e1000
(I think) and ALSA but not the others.


Given that the Core 2 Duos are rising in popularity and this is one of the hottest mobo chipsets to use with these CPU's, I think it's important for both Edgy and Dapper to gain support for this chipset, if feasible.
