Hi aexl,

In order for the ethtool command to work, you need root privileges. Try
using sudo:

$ sudo ethtool -K eth0 tso off

That should work.

BUT: the more recent patched kernels from Ubuntu do not have that
problem anymore (at least for me). If you make sure your system is up to
date with the latest fixes, the problem should go away without needing
to use the ethtool fix. Try a full update first. If it still doesn't
work, then try the ethtool fix. Beyond that, I'm not sure what you could
do...
