I have the same problem running Dapper Drake on an Intel Core 2 Duo desktop (Asus P5WDG2 WS Pro motherboard) with Nvidia graphics on the latest 2.6.15-26-amd64-xeon kernel package 2.6.15-26.47 -- System clock runs far too fast https://launchpad.net/bugs/17589
