[Bug 43745] suggestion: maybe a compiler bug?

Hi,

I'm not a kernel hacker, but I'm just wondering if this could be a
compiler bug in compiler (gcc 4.0.3) that is bundled with Dapper. That
came to my mind because of the fact (?) that bug is not present in Edgy
official kernel and other distributions.

I'm using 2.6.18 kernel, the same kernel which I compiled in Dapper, and
am having still the same bug.
