[Bug 58339] Re: no sound at all. Even unmuted

    Is this what I should get with amixer?:

Simple mixer control 'External Amplifier',0
  Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined
  Playback channels: Mono
  Mono: Playback [off]

I still get no sound.  What should I have used to make
it muted?
