Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6-386

Hi all, after upgrading Ubuntu 6.06 LTS to 6.10 Beta I experienced a
reduction in the realtime performance of the kernel. Running jackd from
qjackctl I experienced occasional XRUN errors when using the
2.6.17-10-386 kernel.

Reverting back to the 2.6.15-17-386 kernel (leftover from 6.06 LTS) made
the problem disappear. Booting again from the new kernel recreated the
XRUN problem.

Because the bug can be turned on and off by booting the "right" or
"wrong" kernel I filed this as a bug for the 2.6.17-10-386 package. For
the record, the 6.10 beta came with jackd 0.101.1. The jackd config
created in qjackctl did use the RT option.

Regards, Pim
