Public bug reported:
Did a little research in forums and found that the conflict between
newer Kernel and USB has been reported also by others. What helps is to
disable legacy usb in BIOS - then 2.6.15.23, -24, -25 boot fine and
won't freeze afterwards either. However, then you can't choose between
OSs before booting. So, anyway, you need a ps/2 keyboard with the new
Kernel. Everything worked fine with Kernel 2.4.x installed (and legacy
usb disabled), both XP and DapperDrake 6.06 recognized usb keyboard
during the boot as well as when running, and the OSs could be chosen
beforehand. I cannot but dub Thee BUG! :)
** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
