Not to add too much to the noise here, but the symptoms described in the
bug probably have a number of possible causes, since it's a pretty
generic sort of problem. FWIW, I have seen the problem on both kernels,
but I believe it did _not_ occur with the breezy kernel, though I can't
say for sure ATM.
