No improvement for me using daily 10/5 desktop build. acpi=off or not, still same PCI Region error duing CDROM boot on ECS P965T-A mb; no SATA devices present, just the two PATA drives (optical and HD). -- JMicron PATA/SATA Controller does not work https://launchpad.net/bugs/57502
