Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-generic

I think that this bug is also related to this one : https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/20062
I found it in Dapper and Edgy.

I didn't found any dmesg since the keyboard isn't detected at all.

With hyperthreading on and acpi on : no keyboard
With hyperthreading on and acpi off : the keyboard is ok but only 1 CPU is detected
With hyperthreading off and acpi on : the keyboard is ok

I found the solution by adding the boot option "usb-handoff=1" to the kernel like reported in this thread : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=69699&p=2
I can enable hyperthreading and the keyboard work

System :
iDEQ 220T with a P4 2.4GHz

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
