Hi Sam,

I thank you for sharing information.

You wrote "maybe Intel delivered a serie of bugged HT processors that do
not work properly with the standard 686-smp linux kernels". I do not
know, but I used these machines with SUSE and Slackware without similar
simptoms correctly...

I will try playing with ACPI and NumLock key. It sounds a bit funny. :-)
