Please note this bug is specific to the Live CD.  It appears some people
are posting bugs about installed versions of Edgy.  A signature of this
bug is you can't access the Live Desktop on boot that would allow you to
install and you can't access console in order to change drivers.

If you are experiencing the same bug as described in the initial bug
report and have a workaround that allows you to change the driver or
access console, please post steps describing how to do this for others
to try.  If you can easily access console with ctrl+alt+F1-F6 when the
screen goes black, you are likely experiencing a different bug.
