@Yves: Your issue is not related to this one despite the similar "no
audible volume" symptom. Note that Dell Inspiron 9x00s use Sigmatel
codecs, while your laptop uses a Realtek codec. Different codec,
different issue. Please search Malone for Realtek HDA/ALC88x issues.
