/ltmodem-test/ don't work for me either:  IBM Thinkpad X22.

This is clearly a problem with the ltmodem modules -- wvdial works fine
with i386 kernel.  It just hangs with the i686 one.

Standard kernel (Alt-SysRq) debugging tips show nothing.  What next?
