Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6-k7

I own a D-Link DWL-G520 Atheros based WLAN adapter. It just stops
working after some minutes (no ping possible).

- ifdown ath0 && ifup ath0 makes it work again for some minutes
- Network-Manager is _not_ installed
- booting with "noapic acpi=off" brings the same result

/var/log/messages says:

May 26 19:52:47 localhost kernel: [4295053.996000] ath0: hardware error; resetting
May 26 19:55:03 localhost kernel: [4295190.007000] ath0: hardware error; resetting
May 26 19:55:03 localhost kernel: [4295190.031000] ath0: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware: 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)

I don't know if this is a driver related bug.

This bug makes Atheros based cards completely unusable with Dapper and
should be fixed before the release (BTW: It's working in Mandriva
Cooker, so Madwifi shouldn't be the only one to blame).

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
