I was able to get this card working on Gentoo with 2.6.16. 2.6.15 did
not work, and my discussions with a Gentoo dev indicate there was some
work on 2.6.16 that introduced detection (with the newgen driver) for
the LSI Logic Megaraid i4. I don't know if the patch to 2.6.16 was
strictly a Gentoo-sources patch, but I can certainly provide lspci
output if that would help.
