Public bug reported:

on my dec05 alu pbook 15", direct rending went missing when upgrading
from

linux-image-2.6.15-22-powerpc              2.6.15-22.34
to
linux-image-2.6.15-23-powerpc              2.6.15-23.39

lspci output:
