  As of release -23 (any 32-bit arch, I haven't tested x64), using my nic
  (w/ sky2) driver silently breaks when downloading/uploading (browsing
  net etc.).  Requires an ifdown/ifup to fix, until it breaks again.
  Wash, rinse and repeat ad nauseam.
