Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpi-support
My laptop hibernates okay, but the post-resume scripts break things by
rmmod'ing and modprobe'ing the thermal module. The modprobe takes up
100% CPU time, making the machine more or less unusable after resume.
Commenting out the four lines with the heading "Kick the fans" in
/etc/acpi/resume.d/72-acpi-pain.sh fixed the problem.
Using Ubuntu Dapper (fresh install yesterday). Relevant versions: acpi-
support 0.84; linux-image-686 2.6.15-23.38
Dmesg: http://cp.yi.org/cameron/s5n-dapper-dmesg.txt

Cameron <cameron at patrick.wattle.id.au>
** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
