It does not work on my Dell Latitude D600 either.  I'm using Dapper
Flight 7.

Sometimes it appears to go into hibernation just fine, but then when the
power button is pushed, it boots as normal instead of recovering the
session.  Sometimes it fails to hibernate completely, saying that my
swap device is not valid.  I have not yet untangled what conditions
trigger each of these.
