[Bug 45969] Always running previous version of the kernel

Up-to-date Dapper Drake on iBook G4 1.07 GHz…

After installing linux-image-2.6.15-22, I was still running …-21 even
after several boots.

I tried to remove …-21 with Synaptic, which warn me I was trying to
erase the running kernel. I try again with both …-21 removing and …-22
reinstalling. Yaboot does not find kernel any more :/…

Now, I got …-23 and …-22 is remaining in "obsolete packages", I use
Synaptic to remove it but it warns me I'm trying to remove my currently
running kernel, :¬(…

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-
image'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
