I got no idea what is right package for this bug report,

Using Ubuntu 6.06 Beta2, kernel 2.6.15-23-k7

Switch to tty1 terminal session, you'l see text:
Ubuntu 6.06 "Dapper Drake" Development Branch .. ..

Login and then logout

now text is:
Ubuntu 6.06LTS
