I installed the packages in ivoks's repository, and it didn't make a
difference:  it still only print blank pages.  Nothing in the cups error
logs.  I also try re-creating the print queue, restarted cupds in case
it could have made a difference.

By the way  a small packaging note:   the rebuilt cupsys-driver-
gutenprint depends on libgnutls11 from universe.  The original cupsys-
driver-gutenprint depends on libgnutls12 from main
