Actually, I would be the first one to vote for the splitting (and the
eventual removal) of linux-restricted-modules. I don't like the way
restricted-modules work. I prefer to have the drivers installed the way
they were meant to be. In my case, this means using the NVIDIA installer
to install the NVIDIA graphic card driver (which is the better method of
doing things IMHO because it comes directly from NVIDIA and is updated
more often).
