[Bug 45542] linux-image-2.6.15-23-686 freezes gdm

I am sorry guys, bad news: this last update freezes at the gdm login screen. The screen is showing correctly, but any input devices are dead (mouse, keyboard, both usb and integrated). I tried several times with 2.6.15-22 and 2.6.15-23 and the former works perfectly, the latter hangs.
One time I was able to enter a few characters for the user name before it hung, but I guess I was just lucky to hit a timeframe just before the freeze.

My machine is a Dell Latitude D505 with the i810 driver on a
82852/855GM.
