[Bug 43745] Re: Ubuntu corrupts real time clock on some dell laptops

EmperorLinux is selling the Latitude D820 (on which Dapper Drake also
produces the "time-of-day clock stopped" problem, see Forum entry linked
in the bug description) with Linux preinstalled:

http://www.emperorlinux.com/mfgr/dell/rhino/?tab=details

They use a customized kernel to fully support the notebooks they sell.
The kernels can be downloaded on their website. Maybe someone has the
skills to compare the settings with the current dapper kernel and maybe
is able to check if EmporerLinux has added patches which may solve the
problem described in this bug report?

But maybe this is useless. If I understand the website correctly then
they use Ubuntu Breezy (if the user wants this). Not Dapper. And maybe
Breezy is not affected by the realtime clock problem.
