[Bug 34769] Intel 3945 chipset not supported

Public bug reported:

The new wifi Intel 3945 chipset is not supported by ubuntu out of box.
This chipset will probably ship with a lot of laptops in the future and should be supported by Ubuntu.

The drivers can be found at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/
They are still development drivers but are very functional and should already suit most users' needs.
