Unfortunately, an OBP upgrade from 4.13.2 to 4.17.1 hasn't solved the
CDROM booting issue for me. More errors are now reported:

Loading initial ramdisk....
    ERROR: Last Trap: Illegal Instruction

Error -256
    ERROR: Last Trap: Memory Address Not Aligned

Error -256
Stack Underflow
ok
