Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
The wired NIC (Intel 82573L) fails to work after thawing from
hibernation.

To reproduce
--------------------
start computer without internet connection
hibernate, then thaw
'ifdown eth0'
'ifup eth0'

the last step appears to send out DHCP requests, but appears not to hear
any responses. After a 'real' restart, however, the network can be
successfully set up in this way.

I've reported elsewhere (42572) that the wired NIC failed to be auto-
detected on my machine, and required me to remove and then re-install
the e1000 driver. I don't know if this could be related.
