Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Binary package hint: acpi

Laptop:
Acer Aspire 1694i

PCMCIA-Device:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Z2

Bug-Description:
Hybernation and idle-state work fine as long as there is no PCMCIA-device plugged into the laptop's slot. When there is, all ACPI-functions fail when the laptop is put into hybernation or idle-state. Screen goes blank, CPU-time (possibly) raises to 100% as the CPU gets hot during the hang-up and the system is not restorable. Only thing to do is to cut the power.
