The only thing that I wanted to add to this bug report is that if the installation of the vmlinux fails because of space problems, that, IMO, is a bug in dpkg or other portions of package management, not a bug in the package.

The initramfs issue of there not being enough space for the initrd is a seperate issue (since it is created at install time, not as part of the package itself).
