unfortunately there is no change when acpi_sbs and battery are removed
prior to the initial suspend attempt, but while testing this i noticed
something even stranger (to my mind): it seems to be enough to switch to
a non-X-Terminal (ctrl-alt-F?) to let the laptop go into standby mode
(videodrivers tried so far: ati&radeon: same behaviour)
